"Ws in the shaat" - Drake, 2024.
Absolute banger of a game. Dialogs are more captivating than Leonardo Dicaprio's portrayal of a slave master in Django. Quentin is already incorporating some of the lines in his new film. The characters' personalities are so flushed out that you start to connect with every single one of them. And when you fail (and you will) it will break your heart and put you into months of therapy.
The visuals are stunning. The graphic designers really carried the boats with this one. Highly detailed characters and objects that it feels like you playing a movie as the image rendering drops to 24 fps when you get massive boulders flying at you at 42069 mph/h.
I would say that the difficulty level is on par with the dark souls series (probably ever harder). Unlike dark souls where you have a slight chance of progressing further into the game, "You are spaceship cat" ensures that you experience a feeling of your testicles being dipped into a hot sauce. Also, upon losing the game you get nice and warm words of encouragement to try again.
The gameplay runs smoothly but not as smooth as the jet's acceleration which feels like a ford fiesta without the exhaust pipe.
Summary.
I don't think I will ever experience such level of joy ever again. This game brought me back to my childhood when as a little snot and would spend my family's savings in the arcade playing Asteroids.
Marvellous designs, gameplay, plot, characters, this game has it all. A truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommend.
I was really starting to feel accomplished going through 3 waves of hard maneuvering only to find myself a failure. Time to jump into that river...
noooo don't do it!!! try playing around with the powers ups, some may be better suited to your play style. The river won't go anywhere and he'll be waiting for you if you fail tho >:)
